I . THEOLOGY:
Study of God: Our Lord said, in John chapter 17, “To
know you Father, is eternal life”. How important it is then to know God.
One can know “about God’s” dealings with man, through the
study of scripture and by the letter, being familiar with all that is written,
but still not know God. The study of God requires God, through the Spirit of
the Son, opening the heavens of our understanding, that we may know Him. “What
man knows the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? Even
so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God”.
Jesus Christ as Revelation: “No man knows the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and He to whomsoever the Son will reveal him”. It was said of the Lord, “If you have seen me you have seen the Father”. The lamb is the light of the new Jerusalem. Christ Jesus illuminates believers, that they may know the things of the Kingdom of God. There is no need of the sun, moon and stars, (natural understanding), for they are darkness by comparison, made so by the light of the glory of God. It is only through Jesus Christ, that I am dead to this world and the realm of the natural man and alive unto God and am able to compare Spiritual with Spiritual.
Unfolding of Revelation: Though the cannon of Scripture has remained essentially unchanged through out the ages, our understanding of what is written has. The Spirit is and has been guiding us into all truth as the ages unfold. God’s plan has not changed, our ability to understand knowledge by the Spirit has.
Inspiration and Authority of Scripture: All scripture is God breathed. Men were moved by the holy Spirit to preserve, in writing what God did historically, continues to do and will consummate in the last days. I do not believe that there is any revelation outside of scripture. Scripture is the point of reference for all truth, through revelation of the Spirit. The Spirit may reveal something that may not have been seen in scripture before, but through the Spirit one will search it out and not have to rest the scriptures to do so. I believe the Bible to be the “words” of God, written through men, which through study and enlightenment of the Holy Spirit one can know the “Word” of God, Jesus Christ.
Infallibility and Inerrancy of Scripture: I believe the Holy Scriptures, as God gave them to be without error. All Scripture is given by the inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
Canon and Interpretation of Scripture: I believe
that the sixty six books that make up most bibles are all one needs, to know
God, when illuminated by the Holy spirit. That is not to say that God does not
use other writings as well, books written by anointed teachers of truth. However,
they will only confirm what, through the Spirit can also be found in Scripture.
In “Christianity”, there are many differing ways to interpret certain
books of the bible, just as there are many denominations, the result of differing
interpretations. But God will return onto us a pure language and do away with
the confusion of Babylon in these last days. There is only one true interpretation
of Scripture, “The revelation of Jesus Christ is the Spirit of Prophesy”.
